TOOLS CHECKLIST
No Cutting. No Shrinking. Jump right into installation.
Be sure to prepare a 3-to-1 solution (3 parts water, 1 part alcohol) to remove any coatings (e.g. ceramic coatings, Rain-X solution, etc.) from the windshield surface.
Your slip solution (i.e. soapy water) will be used throughout the installation. Mix 3-4 drops of Dawn® dish soap in your bottle (~500 mL) to prep your slip solution.

In short: condition is more important than a specific type or brand. It's important to make sure your wiper blades are in good condition. If you see noticeable wear and tear, they should be replaced prior to use on an ExoShield-protected windshield. If you're in the market for a replacement, here are a few we've tested. Yes! While ExoShield is developed to protect your windshield without the need for extra coatings, many installers prefer to add a ceramic coating as one more line of defense against weathering and abrasion. ExoShield ULTRA kits are designed and pre-formed to fit OEM windshields. There may be some cases where the aftermarket windshield is significantly different in shape and will not be compatible with the kit unless additional heat-forming is applied during installation. As a result, we can only guarantee full compatibility with OEM windshields.
