ExoShield GT3+ is applied using the same skills and tools needed to apply window tint. Anyone with a clean operation and sufficient tinting experience can easily install ExoShield.
While ExoShield is considerably thicker than traditional window tint, we've engineered ExoShield to be shrinkable just like window tint. The only modification you'll need to make to your installation process is to use more heat when shrinking to compensate for ExoShield's greater thickness.

PPF can be applied to most surfaces, EXCEPT glass surfaces. The TPU used in PPF is not optically clear enough to safely be used on a windshield. All painted surfaces, carbon fibre parts, headlights, plastics & interiors can theoretically be protected with PPF.
Yes, you can! doing so can even enhance the film's appearance. However, it's important to use products specifically designed for PPF use. Choose a non-abrasive wax or polish, and avoid products that contain harsh chemicals or abrasive compounds, as these can potentially damage the film. Certain PPFs haveand waxing or polishing can help maintain their appearance. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
Typically, regular washing and detailing are sufficient to maintain the appearance of your PPF. That being said, harsh chemicals or abrasive materials should be avoided to prevent damage to the film. Most PPF manufacturers (ExoShield included!) will also caution against pressure washing the film, as this can cause edges to lift. Always discuss a maintenance plan with your installer before you take the vehicle home to ensure you’re getting the most out of your investment!
